1. Results are probabilities, not proof
Popped! combines metadata checks, image forensics and machine-learning models. In our November 2026 evaluation on 431 images, the AI detector caught 87% of AI-generated images while flagging about 1% of real photos. Real-world performance varies with new generators, heavy editing, screenshots and compression.
An Original result does not guarantee that a photo is genuine, and an AI = Popped! or Photoshopped result does not prove wrongdoing.

Industry statistics on our website (for example refund-fraud and fake-degree figures) come from published third-party reports and news coverage and are shown for context only.
